Open Doors

Last month Bro. Ben Woodward, ABA misssionary living in Belmopan, Blair and I traveled to the northern seaside town of Sarteneja, Belize. The pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Enrique Salazar, who is a student of our Seminary classes invited us to visit.
Solid Rock church is the sponsoring church of Cornerstone Christian Academy, the only Christian High school in that area.
The school has an enrollment of 76 students with 8 teachers.
The school is need of financial help to make teacher payroll for the rest of the school year.
Solid Rock Church has asked that Bro. Ben and I serve on the board of the school.

The church understands that if they want to continue they must do what they can to help with salaries and upkeep of the school. They are committed to that end. Yet, like our Seminaries, MBSF's or many ministries help is needed to get over the hump.

We are asking that you prayerfully consider helping this school with special offerings.

Christmas and New Years

We had a good Christmas. We had a better crowd than I thought we would on Chiristmas day.
New Years hit hard. The Belizians really like to bring the New Year in with a bang. Many people were up late on New Years eve and the ones at church were on the tired side.
We finally have a van!!! Thanks to several churches, individuals and Promise Land we stepped out and borrowed the money needed to get the van.
It has already made a difference.

A Few Pictures from Belize

February Update

So far the month of February has proven to be busy and productive. The first week of the month we were blessed to have a total of 12 people from our sending church, Promise Land, Whispering Pines MBC, Minden, LA and Shady Grove MBC, Monticello, AR help us.

During their time here they helped finish our pavilion and hand out around 1800 Bibles and N.T. They held a Bible school on Saturday afternoon and conducted services on Sunday.

We had a young man saved and baptized. Blair, my daughter, was also baptized by our pastor.

I started Bible Institute classes this month with a gentleman from the church. Pray that this goes well and that he grows spiritually.

We continue to have visitors each Sunday. Please pray that more will unite with the church. It is exciting to see the children learn new scriptures and soar thru Bible drills. The children come from many different religious backgrounds. Teaching can be very challenging. Please pray that the Word can get through to them.
